In Manchester, the Red Devils will always be number one: Beckham

London, Jan. 19: Former England football star David Beckham has said that Manchester United will always be the number one football club in England in his eyes, and adds that the Arab-owned Manchester City club will be a pretender at best.

"I only care about Manchester United personally. City have been bought by a company now and there's a lot of money there. But for me, United are the only team in Manchester," The Sun quoted Beckham, as saying during a training session with the Italian club A C Milan.

Commenting on Brazilian star Kaka, who has been approached by Manchester City with an offer of 91 million pounds, Beckham said Kaka did not need his advice.

"It's not always about money. It's about playing for the best team, playing with the best players in the world and winning trophies and being successful. He's one of the best players in the world and every Milan player is there to support him and encourage him, but we will see. We want him to stay," Beckham said. (ANI)
