More progress in Andheri burglary case

More progress in Andheri burglary caseAs far as the progress in the Andheri burglary case is concerned, the Police has recently questioned six people who are expected to be in connection with the burglary at Kalika Jewellers in Andheri (E).

It is to be mentioned here that while jewellery worth Rs. 3.5 lakh was looted in the case, the thieves had dug a six feet hole with an aim to enter the store.

The Police authorities are of a view that at least two people were involved in the crime that took place recently and it is expected that it would have taken them a week long to dig that hole.

While it came from a gutter which was beneath the store, the police also said that the as the gutter was already full of filth, it would have been very tough from the thieved to dig a hole of that height.

Deepak Bagwe, senior inspector of MIDC police station said that perhaps the crime has committed by some local forces and it is not looking as if it is a work of some professional gang.
