Narain Karthikeyan finishes at 14th place

Narain Karthikeyan finishes at 14th placeThe Indian A1GP driver Kumar Ram Narain Karthikeyan has finished on 14th place in the qualifying round of the Le Mans' 24- hours race in France.

Narain had qualified for the 2009 Le Mans Series in the qualifying race on 11th may 2009 in Belgium and became first ever Indian to participate in the Le Mans 24 Hour race.

Narain drives for the Kolles Audi Team and is currently driving the turbo-diesel powered, 5.5 litre V12, Audi R10 TDi LMP1 sports car.

Narain said that he was excited by this race and diving on a wet track in the dark was a new experience for him. He further added that he is satisfied with his effort in the qualifying round and the response of the crowd there was unbelievable.

The 24 hour Le Man will start on June 13-14 at the Circuit de la Sarthe, Le Mans, France in which Narain will start his race from 14th place out of all 55 entries in the Le Mans
24 hour race.
