Vodafone launches comics for phone
Vodafone Essar has recently introduced a new VAS platform for its subscribers in India- the Chhota Comic edition.
It is believed that Vodafone which has launched the comic addition plans to retreat its users with a fresh bout of memory recall with its value added service. Subscribers can lay their hands on a list of available Indian and international cartoon characters such as Akbar Birbal, Suppandi, Chacha Chaudhary, Hanuman, Mickey and Donald, Winnie the Pooh and the likes on their mobile phones.
Comprising of over 35 comic strips and full-length comics it is stated that it comes at a comprehendible rate of Rs. 2 for a comic strip and Rs. 15 for a full length comic. This service can also be used through Vodafone Live! Subscribers will have to send a text - 'COMIC' to 111 to access the WAP URL to download the application and thereafter buy any comic. The application is made free to download. Hence forth users are free to browse through the comic titles and simultaneously read the comics, which has an option of zoom for better viewing.
This service is directed towards distressing and relaxing the users from their regular chores, says a spokesperson from Vodafone.
