King Richard III's 'doubtful' legitimacy questions present Queen's right to rule

London, Dec 3 - Queen Elizabeth II may not be the rightful ruler, as scientists have made some genetic discovery on King Richard III's body, which poses doubt on the royal line of succession.

According to the researchers at the University of Leicester, they are now 99.999 percent sure that the skeleton with a twisted spine found in a Leicester car park in 2012 was the last Plantagenet king who had died in battle in 1485. However, the skeleton's male Y chromosome, only passed from father to son, and did not match that of five living individuals paternally linked to King Richard.

Meteorite shows Martian life likelier than previously believed

Washington, Dec 3 - A new study has suggested that Martian life is likelier than previously believed as a meteorite from Mars shows traces of possible Martian biological activity inside it

Researchers from China, Japan and Germany at EPFL's Earth and Planetary Sciences Laboratory performed a detailed analysis of organic carbon traces from a Martian meteorite, and have concluded that they have a very probable biological origin.

The scientists argue that carbon could have been deposited into the fissures of the rock when it was still on Mars by the infiltration of fluid that was rich in organic matter.

"My ideal role would be a baddie in James Bond. I think the wheelchair and the computer voice would fit the part," he said.

Rumours suggest he would be battling Christoph Waltz for the main antagonist role in the next 007, but the thought of Hawking on screens is not quite so far-fetched, with him having famously appeared in episodes of 'Star Trek' and 'The Simpsons'.
