Superb slider phone, Nokia 6600i has been launched in India. Showing a slew of improvements over the 6600 mobile handset, Nokia 6600i is elegant looking sleek slider phone. Nokia claims that Nokia 6600i is its smallest 5 megapixel slide phone up to now.

Nokia 6600i boasts of a 5 megapixel camera with an 8x zoom and maximum photo resolution 2592×1944 pixels. The 6600i camera, sporting double LED flash and auto focus, is known for its superb imaging and video recording capabilities. The Nokia 6600i also features a second (front) camera. The 6600i features 2.2 inch colour TFT screen with color display of 16000000 colors and resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. However, the phone does not feature external display.

The entertainment features of Java supporting Nokia 6600i handset include FM radio, stereo music player supporting MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+ and WMA, and video player supporting 3GP, MPEG4. The 6600i features XHTML browser, Java MIDP2.0, OMA DRM 1.0 and 2.0. The phone allows its users to share images and videos, which can be recorded with its VGA support at 15 fps and QVGA support at 30 fps, via internet.

Nokia 6600i comes 20MB of internal memory and a 1GB micro-SD card. It features a memory slot to expand the external memory up to 16GB. The phone comes equipped with Li-Ion 1000 mAh (BL-4U) battery offering standby time of 348 hours and talk time of 4 hours.
 
Nokia 6600i comes equipped with Nokia maps, accelerometer, IM, 3.5mm jack, Flash Lite 3.0, and Opera Mini. The 6600i features Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP and USB MicroUSB v2.0. The 6600i is capable of fax / data transfer. The phone also comes with features such as tap commands, snooze alerts and the option of silencing or rejecting incoming phone calls. The 6600i phone provides WCDMA 850/2100, GSM/EGSM quad-band 850/900/1800/1900 support, based on the series 40 platform. The 6600i offers support for 3G, EDGE, GPRS, GSM, HSCSD, UMTS (3G) networks, and 850, 900, 1800, 1900, 2100 service.
