Nokia launches slew of smartphones
The world's largest mobile handset company, Nokia has announced the launch of a slew of smartphones. This is basically to recapture its declining market share in Smartphone market segment. This segment is growing with an enormous speed and companies like Apple and Google have produced some of their models to satisfy this demand in the market.
Nokia seems to be lag behind its contemporary rivals in this segment, but now it is all set to take on them. There will be a stiff competition from Apple's iPhone and Google's Android-based devices, but Nokia is anticipating producing a good result out of this inclusion.
Despite huge competition the Finland-based company is still the market leader in handset market. It is leading the smartphones segment with a massive 41% market share.
But the company is under pressure to hold its legacy due to some tough competition in the market.
It has launched its N8 model in the Asia-Pacific region. It is having the much improved Symbian 3 operating system inside it. The phone will be available in India from September and its cost will be Rs 21,019.
