Nun to Cooperate Orissa police

The Catholic nun, raped during Kandhamal communal violence, has finally agreed to co-operate Orissa police for test identification parade.

But she has demanded for a change in the venue for parade.

"She is under treatment and therefore cannot travel such a long distance," Cuttack-Bhubaneswar Archbishop Raphael Cheenath said on Wednesday.

"She had undergone a traumatic experience at Kandhamal, therefore she would not like to go there again to identify the culprits," added Chennath.

The catholic nun was allegedly raped during Orissa Bandh on 25 August at Knuagaon.

She had stated in a press conference in New Delhi that she could identify the rapist. Earlier Father Chennath had filed a petition in Supreme Court seeking CBI probe into the incident. But the Court rejected his plea and directed the Nun to cooperate with Orissa police.

Crime Branch of Orissa is investigating into the matter.

On the Other hand T.K Mishra, Secy, of Home dept. said that "We are ready to conduct the TIP at any place in the country as announced earlier."
