Orissa Govt Accepts Resignation Of 7 Doctors

Orissa Govt Accepts Resignation Of 7 DoctorsThe Health Department of the State government has accepted the resignation of seven doctors including that of Madhusudan Mishra, president of Odisha Medical Services Association (OMSA), the organization heading the agitation in the state from the last few days.

In order to make the government concede to their various demands, nearly 2000 doctors across the state had submitted their resignation papers a few days ago.

The government on the other hand has termed the doctors resignation as illegal.

It has appealed the agitating doctors to withdraw their resignation. However, the doctors are not ready to bow to the government pressure.

In order to deal with this situation, the state government has asked all the district collectors to draft ayurvedic and homeopathic doctors in the hospitals to continue with the health services.

Besides this, the government is keen to engage all the contractual and retired doctors of the state.
