Dubai, Nov. 11 : Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has gained two places in the latest Reliance Mobile ICC Player Rankings for Test bowlers and is now in seventh position, the highest ranking the off-spinner has enjoyed since 2003.

Melbourne, Nov. 8 : Australian cricket captain Ricky Ponting has claimed that when Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh indulged in a racist slur against all-rounder Andrew Symonds for the first time in Mumbai in October last year, the team management decided to let him off and give him another chance.

Revealing this in his “Captain’s Dairy 2008”, Ponting is quoted by the Sydney Morning Herald as saying that when Harbhajan repeated the same slur of calling Symonds a monkey during the nerve-racking Sydney Test in January this year, a chill went up his spine, and “certainly stopped me in my tracks.”

A rocking Punjabi performance helped cricketer Harbhajan Singh and popular TV actress Mona Singh to win the award for the best dancers in the grand finale of the reality show ‘Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena’.

The jodi danced on the popular, fast and catchy number ‘Nagaada nagaada baja’ from the hit film ‘Jab We Met’.

The jodi left everyone spellbound with their matchless performance, including that of the show judges Wasim Akram and actress Sushmita Sen.

Cricketer Harbhajan Singh displayed his disapproval of Gilchrist’s comment on Sachin by lashing out at him in media.

“He should not be talking about Sachin. It is all rubbish," Harbhajan told the leading newspaper, the Age. "We don’t respect him. He pretends to be a saint and people say he walks when he nicks, but why did he appeal when batsmen don't nick?” 

“He always changes his mind according to a situation.” added Harbhajan.

Harbhajan Singh is in controversy again, well this time not for any indisciplinary action on the pitch but because of his act on the reality show. The Spin bowler who is making raves through the dance reality show ‘Ek Khiladi, Ek Haseena’ being aired on ‘Colors’ has been criticized by the Jathedar of the Akal Takht(Sikhism's highest temporal authority), for his recent act of endorsing the persona of ‘Ravana'.
