New Delhi, Dec 11 : Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves, who admits to being a big science fiction fan, is delighted to have landed the opportunity to act in the sci-fi flick `The Day The Earth Stood Still'.

The `Chain Reaction' actor wants his fans to know that the remake of the 1951 cult classic is not just any sci-fi flick, as it has a very deep meaning to it, reports China Daily.

"It''s about the world we live in and the destructive nature of man, so it gives you a lot to think about. It''s very timely," Reeves said.

Washington, Dec 9 : Keanu Reeves has signed on to star in "47 Ronin," an epic period film for Universal Pictures based on the true tale of a band of samurai swordsmen who avenged the death of their master in 18th century Japan.

In "47 Ronin," Reeves will play one of the swordsmen; the group and their master are revered in Japan for their revenge attack on Dec. 14, 1702, reports Variety.

The film will tell a stylized version of the story, mixing fantasy elements of the sort seen in "The Lord of the Rings" pics, with gritty battle scenes akin to those in films such as "Gladiator."

London, Nov 28 : Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves has revealed that he will portray a friendly alien called ‘Klatu’ in his upcoming flick, which will be a remake of 1951 sci-fi classic The Day the Earth Stood Still.

In both the original movie and the remake, Klaatu arrives on Earth with a warning, but here Klaatu is a friend of the planet but not of mankind, and if he kills the latter, the former will survive.

The flick will also be featuring Jennifer Connelly, John Cleese and Will Smith''s 10-year-old son, Jaden.

Keanu Reeves, 44 was in court regarding a lawsuit brought against him by Alison Silva, a 28-year old Brazilian paparazzo, who last March followed him to the affluent Rancho Palos Verdes area, where the actor had gone to visit his sister, who was in a medical facility for an eating disorder.  Reeves, emerged after an hour long visit, only to have Silva approach him and beging photographing.
