No differences with Left, Muslim votebank intact: LaluPatna, Apr 23 : Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Thursday denied any rift with the Left parties and said that the United Progressive Front (UPA) would welcome a post-poll coalition deal with them if the alliance is not able to succeed in the elections.

Talking to reporters here, Lalu said, "The doors for a post-poll alliance with the Left is still open. We had difference with the Left only over the civilian nuclear deal and nothing else. We have been friends with CPI (M) for a long time."

 Lalu Prasad files nomination papers from PatliputraPatna (Bihar), Apr. 22 : Rashtriya Janata Dal president Lalu Yadav and NDA leader and Bihar''s Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi were engaged in a war of words on Wednesday, hours after Naxals struck in four places in Bihar and Jharkhand a day before the second phase of general elections.

"These attacks show that there is anarchy in all four quarters of Bihar. This (NDA) government (led by Nitish Kumar) is a failure," said Lalu Yadav.

Lalu will not be a part of next government: MukherjeePatna, Apr. 21: Senior Congress party leader Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday said that Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav would not be a part of the next government.

Addressing an election rally in Samastipur, Mukherjee said: "Lalu will neither form the government or will be a part of the next government. Lalu should have given us three seats in Bihar we had asked for. We will never tolerate being treated as a doormat."

UPA does not belong to Congress alone: Lalu PrasadPatna, Apr 20: Retracting from his stand on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Tuesday said that United Progressive Alliance (UPA) does not necessarily belong to the Congress party and the coalition would meet after the completion of elections to decide their primeministerial candidate.

The Railway Minister had maintained all along that Manmohan Singh is the UPA nominee for the post of Prime Minister.

Congress responsible for Babri demolition: LaluManigachi (Bihar), Apr 18 : Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad on Saturday said the Congress was responsible for the demolition of the Babri mosque in Ayodhya in 1992.

"The Congress failed to protect the Babri mosque, as it did nothing to prevent it. Not only the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Congress is also equally responsible for the demolition of Babri Masjid in Ayodhya," Prasad said at an election rally here.

Lalu Prasad files nomination papers from Patliputra

 Lalu Prasad files nomination papers from PatliputraPatna, Apr 17 : Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad on Friday filed his nomination for the newly-formed Patliputra parliamentary constituency.

Prasad is contesting the polls from two constituencies. The second one is the Saran parliamentary constituency, where polling took place in the first phase of the general elections on Thursday.

Prasad submitted his papers to returning officer J. K. Sinha.
