London, Nov 20 : Liam Gallagher is extremely confident that his new band will be better than Oasis.

The band split in August (09) when Gallagher''s guitarist brother, Noel, quit following a backstage fight with his sibling before a show in Paris, France.

Gallagher has confirmed he is heading back to the studio to record an album, with plans to release his first non-Oasis record next summer (10).

And he’s already bragging his new material will be better than the previous one.

London, November 14 : Singer Liam Gallagher has unfolded an incident when he tried to help an old lady with her shopping and got sworn at in return.

The 37-year-old former Oasis frontman made the tongue-lashing revelation on Italian radio.

"I was trying to help this old lady with a big picture she was carrying,” the Sun quoted him as saying.

"I offered to help and she told me to go f*** myself - twice. I said, ''I beg your pardon?'' and she said, ''You heard, f*** off''.

London, November 08 : Rock star Liam Gallagher recently showed his soccer skills, when he took to the football field playing for bankrupt Berkhamsted FC in a fund-raising game.

A strong crowd of 200 people cheered the former Oasis frontman, as his side won 5-3 against the Arcadia Group at their own Hertfordshire ground.

"We recently refurbished Liam''s house and I asked him to play. It was great to see everyone''s faces when he came,” the Sun quoted Paul Smith, boss of club sponsor Stoneforce, as saying.

Washington, October 27 : Liam Gallagher has revealed that he plans to launch a new band after his brother Noel quit Oasis.

The former Oasis frontman said he plans to launch his group next year without his sibling.

London, October 12 : Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has revealed that he quit drugs in November last year because of his children.

The singer had apparently been consuming narcotics for 20 years before giving it up in 2008, keeping the welfare of his family in mind.

"I''ve knocked all that on the head (given all that up) since last November. You must remember that I''ve caned it (partied hard) for 20 years and not just on the sauce (alcohol) but with all sorts,' the Daily Express quoted him as saying.

The singer has warned humanity is in "proper bother" if the honey-producing insects die out as a result of using pesticides around their hives.

He calls for people to take action.
