Shahrukh Gets Court Notice Over ‘Om Shanti Om’A metropolitan magistrate’s court in Andheri has issued notices to King Khan, his wife Gauri Khan and filmmaker Farah Khan on Tuesday, asking them to be present before in the court on February 22.

The notice has been issued with regard to the defamation suit filed by veteran actor Manoj Kumar against the makers of the film ‘Om Shanti Om.’

Manoj Kumar had objected to a character in the movie who bore a resemblance to him and was shown being beaten up by guards when he went to attend a movie premiere.

It seems that the former actor Manoj Kumar is not going to spare the King of Bollywood, Sharukh Khan that easily. The issue that rose with making fun of the senior actor Manoj Kumar in the 2007 blockbuster Om Shanti Om still has a long way to go.

On Tuesday, Manoj Kumar filed two legal suits against the SRK, his wife and producer Gauri Khan and the director of OSO, Farah Khan.

Khan had earlier assured Kumar that the scene, which makes fun of him, would be deleted from the movie. However, this did not happen and the movie was screened in all theatres without the deletion of the scene.

Manoj Kumar was really agitated with the way he had been portrayed in Om Shanti Om, produced by Red Chilly Entertainment owned by SRK.

Advocate Ashok Saraogi stated, “We have won the case as the court has ordered a permanent injunction on the scenes which mock the actor. Now we are planning for a criminal case.”
