After months of speculations, it is official now. Pop singer, Mariah Carey is pregnant. Nick Cannon, the father of the baby and Mariah have finally revealed to some media houses the news and said that the couple is expecting their first child.

This also confirms the news that stated that Mariah was asked to leave a role since she was pregnant. RadarOnline. com had reported some time back that the 40-year old singer was thrown out of a role in Cindi Berger's movie.

It was said some time back by the people close to the couple that they were happy but had kept quiet so that the news does not create a big buzz in the industry.

Washington, October 05 : Mariah Carey has revealed that she and husband Nick Cannon had decided the names of their children on their first date.

The singer recently expressed her desire to have babies with her actor husband, saying that names for the kids had already been decided.

"We started naming our children on the first day (date)! We really clicked," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

In the recent past, there have been huge speculations that the singer is already pregnant.
