Iceland's president injures shoulder when ridingReykjavik - Iceland's President Olafur Ragnar Grimsson has broken his left shoulder in a horse-riding accident, news reports said Thursday.

Grimsson was riding Wednesday with a group of people including his wife at Hunavellir in the north-west part of Iceland when his horse tripped and he fell off, the reports said.

The president was taken to a hospital in Reykjavik where X-rays indicated that he had sustained a broken shoulder. Some 10 years ago the president sustained a similar injury.

Iceland president to make postponed visit to Bangladesh

Iceland President Olafur Ragnar GrimssonDhaka - Iceland President Olafur Ragnar Grimsson was scheduled to arrive Friday in Dhaka on a four-day official visit to Bangladesh, diplomatic officials said Wednesday.

Grimsson plans to chair an international symposium in Dhaka on climate change and meet with President Iajuddin and other senior officials in Bangladesh's caretaker government.

He was also expected to meet with Nobel laureate Mohammad Yunus, the founder of Grameen Bank, which pioneered micro-credits for poor farmers and cottage industries.
