London, Dec 5 : Rocker Pete Doherty will replace Pete Townshend in ‘The Who’ for a one-off charity gig, according to reports.

The Mod Lords’ frontman, Roger Daltrey, is said to have asked Doherty to join him for a special concert in January next year to benefit the star''s Teenage Cancer Trust foundation.

The legendary singer is reportedly impressed by Doherty''s decision to sing at the funeral of young fan Daniel Squires, who died from cancer in July (08).

“Roger was really impressed and touched when Pete performed for Daniel,” The Sun quoted a source, as saying.

London, Nov 30 : While Kate Moss and Jamie Hince’s relationship is said to have hit a rough patch, the supermodel is reportedly considering turning to her ex-beau Pete Doherty for love advice.

A pal of the catwalk queen has said that Moss and Hince’s seems to be on the rocks and now, the supermodel is planning to take advice from her ex lover.

“Kate’s at her wits end with Jamie. She says she has no sense of pride when she sees a picture of them together,” News of the World quoted the pal, as saying.

London, Nov 6: English musician Pete Doherty still seems to be angry with rock/pop singer Sir Elton John over their disastrous Live 8 performance in 2005, for he has blasted the latter for it.

Doherty got the blame for doing a disastrous rendition of T Rex’s ‘Children Of The Revolution’ while singing it with John in 2005, when he forgot the words and staggered on stage in smudged guy liner and a sailor jacket.

The Babyshambles member has hit back saying that it was John’s band that was responsible for the mess.

“What a bunch of f****** w******. What a bunch of sausage sucking, session, slaphead, ponytailed p*****, you know?” the Sun quoted him as saying.

Glastonbury headliner Jay-Z came second while MGMT singer Andrew Vanwyngarden landed the third spot.
