Dasmunsi''s condition continues to be critical

Priya Ranjan DasmunsiNew Delhi, Oct 25 : Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi’s condition continues to be critical on the 13th day today.

Dr. Vineet Suri, consultant in neurology, Apollo hospital, said Dasmunshi’s condition continues to remain critical and that he is on life support system.

Sixty two-year-old Dasmunsi had suffered a severe heart attack on October 13 and admitted to the AIIMS.

No clinical improvement in Dasmunsi, say doctors

Priya Ranjan DasmunsiNew Delhi, Oct. 16 : Doctors at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Thursday said that there was no clinical improvement in the condition of Union Information and Broadcasting Minister P R Dasmunsi, wo was admitted on Monday morning after suffering a severe heart attack.

"He has shown no further clinical improvement. His condition remains to be the same as yesterday," said Dr D K Sharma, the Medical Superintendent of AIIMS.

Dasmunsi stable, but still on respiratory support

Priya Ranjan DasmunshiNew Delhi, Oct. 14 : Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunsi was on Tuesday described as being in a stable condition but still on respiratory support after suffering a heart attack on Monday morning.

"He is stable but in a serious condition. He requires respiratory support," AIIMS Medical Superintendent D K Sharma said.

Dasmunsi was rushed to the hospital at around 2.30 a. m. on Monday after he complained of breathlessness due to lung congestion caused by heart failure, Sharma said. He was put on a ventilator.

This was his second heart attack in three months.

President Patil visit Dasmunsi at AIIMS

Priya Ranjan DasmunsiNew Delhi, Oct 14 : President Pratibha Patil visited Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) today whose condition continues to be critical on the second consecutive day.

He was admitted in the AIIMS yesterday in a critical condition after suffering from a heart stroke.

The President came at about 10.12 a. m. in the morning and remained there for nearly ten minutes, Medical Superintendent of the premier health institute, Dr D K Sharma said.

"Serious" Priyaranjan Dasmunsi kept on ventilator

Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Priyaranjan DasmunsiNew Delhi, Oct 14: Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunsi, who was admitted in AIIMS yesterday in a critical condition after suffering from a heart stroke, is being kept on a ventilator.

This is the second stroke Dasmunsi suffered in the past six months.

According to doctors attending to him, he had a "complete left ventricular failure" of the heart when he was admitted.
