Rajinikanth returns from Singapore

Chennai, July 14 : Tamil superstar Rajinikanth returned here Wednesday night, nearly one-and-a-half months after he flew out to Singapore for medical treatment.
The actor was accompanied by his wife Latha Rajinikanth and two daughters - Aishwarya and Soundarya.
Rajinikanth was given a rousing reception by his fans at the airport here. The actor had a few words with his fans while accepting the wishes of others by waving his hands at them.
Sources close to the family told IANS that the actor will take rest at his farmhouse near here for about a month.

Chennai, July 13 : Tamil superstar Rajinikanth returns here Wednesday night, nearly one and a half month after he flew out to Singapore for medical treatment.
The actor will be accompanied by his wife Latha Rajinikanth and two daughters - Aishwarya and Soundarya.
Sources close to the family told IANS that the actor will drive straight to his farm house near here and take rest there for about a month.
The matinee idol is expected to resume shooting for the movie "Rana", produced by Ochre Studios headed by his daughter Soundarya.

Chennai, June 18 : Tamil megastar Rajinikanth, who is convalescing in Singapore, Saturday thanked his fans for praying for his recovery and said he would make them happy in his next movie "Rana".
In a four-page letter to his ardent fans, released to the media here, Rajinikanth said: "I was at loss for words when I sat to write to fans soon after getting discharged from the hospital."
He apologised for talking to them after speaking to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa and DMK president M. Karunanidhi.
Rajinikanth discharged from Singapore hospital

Chennai, June 15 : Tamil superstar Rajinikanth was Wednesday discharged from the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore and will remain in that country for some more time.
According to informed sources here, the matinee idol will be in Singapore for some more days at an undisclosed location.
The 60-year-old actor, who made his mark as a character actor in the movie "Aarulirunthu Arupathu Varai" (From six to sixty years) was flown to Singapore May 28 and was admitted to the hospital the next day.
'Rana' is Rajini's dream film, will be made at any cost: Co-producer

Chennai June 10 : Murali Manohar, co-producer of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth starrer "Rana", has denied reports that the film has been shelved, saying shooting has only been temporarily suspended.
Rajinikanth fell ill during the first day's shooting of "Rana" in April end and has not been keeping well since. Currently the 60-year-old is in Singapore for treatment.
Reports in some sections of the media claimed that the film might be postponed by a year in order to give Rajini ample time to recover fully from the illnesses.

Chennai, May 28 : Ailing Tamil superstar Rajinikanth left for Singapore Friday for further treatment. The 60-year-old actor is accompanied by his family members - daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya- sons-in-laws and doctor Muralidharan, sources said.
It is learnt Rajinikanth's wife Latha would leave for Singapore Saturday.
The matinee idol, who as admitted to the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre here with fever and fluid retention following acute gastro-intestinal and respiratory problems since May 13, was discharged from the hospital Friday evening.

New Delhi, May 27 : Tamil matinee idol Rajnikanth is going to Singapore for further treatment, said his daughter Aishwarya, adding he is not in any danger but needed privacy.
"He is being taken for further treatment to Singapore but I would like to clarify that he is not being airlifted by an air ambulance because that is not necessary for him as his vitals are stable and he is going to travel like a normal passenger," Aishwarya told NDTV Friday.

Chennai, May 21 : Ailing superstar Rajinikanth is getting better. The vital parameters of the Tamil star, admitted to the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre here, are now returning to normal, a hospital bulletin Saturday said.
He is now taking oral diet by himself and is spending time with his family members, it said.
The matinee idol was admitted to hospital late evening May 13, with fever and fluid retention following acute gastro-intestinal and respiratory problems and was later shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU) May 18.

Mumbai, May 20 : Bollywood celebrities like Dharmendra, Priyanka Chopra and Arshad Warsi wish a speedy recovery to Tamil superstar Rajnikanth, who is admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a Chennai hospital.
Rajnikanth, admitted in the ICU of the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre here, is improving after advanced treatment, including hemodialysis, according to doctors attending on him.

New Delhi, May 19 : Dev Anand and Amitabh Bachchan have wished a speedy recovery to southern megastar Rajnikanth, who is admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a Chennai hospital.
"I pray for my dear Rajani's sound health and speedy recovery (sic)," Dev Anand, 87, posted on his Twitter page.
Amitabh, who is a close friend to Rajnikanth, also took to the micro-blogging site to share an update on the latter's health, and wished him well.

Chennai, May 7 : Tamil superstar Rajinikanth's condition is stable, but he has been advised two more days in the ICU, hospital sources said here Saturday.
The 60-year-old, who is suffering from allergic bronchitis and fever due to exhaustion, was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of St. Isabel Hospital Wednesday night.
"His condition is stable, but he will be required to stay at least two more days in the hospital, and a decision about his discharge will be taken only thereafter," the hospital source told IANS.

Chennai, May 5 : The condition of Tamil superstar Rajnikanth is stable and he has been advised rest for a couple of days, a doctor here said Thursday.
The 60-year-old was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of St. Isabel Hospital Wednesday night.
"He is suffering from allergic bronchitis and fever. The cause is exhaustion. He is advised rest for a couple of days. His condition is stable," S. N. Sai Kishore, a doctor at St. Isabel Hospital, told IANS.

According to hospital officials, Rajnikanth has been admitted in the ICU for discomfort.
Speaking to reporters, the actor's wife Lata Rajnikanth said the superstar is safe and there is nothing to worry.
She said the actor ate something in the morning and started throwing up. "The doctors are attending to him and he is in safe hands," she said.
