Prince William’s ''Harry Potter'' scar from childhood golfing accident

Prince William’s ''Harry Potter'' scar from childhood golfing accidentLondon, March 19: Prince William has revealed that he has a scar on his forehead similar to that of Harry Potter, which he got from a childhood golf accident.

The second in line to the throne made the revelation to a 10-year-old cancer patient Alice Marples in a television interview to promote his support for the Teenage Cancer Trust’s plans to build a new centre for young patients at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton, Surrey.

The 26-year-old told how he got the fictional boy wizard like scar, which reportedly made nine-year-old Prince undergo surgery and bear 24 stitches in 1991.

“That was for my Harry Potter scar, as I call it, just here,” the Daily Express quoted him as saying in an interview with the BBC’s Newsround.

“I call it that because it glows sometimes and some people notice it – other times they don’t notice it at all.

“But I got hit by a golf club when I was playing golf with a friend of mine. Yeah, we were on a putting green and the next thing you know there was a seven-iron and it came out of nowhere and it hit me in the head.

“So, yeah, I was in hospital for that, but that was, yeah, very minor compared to how many times you’ve been into hospital,” he added. (ANI)
