Indian movie industry's star actress Priyanka Chopra, has replaced Akshay Kumar as a TV show anchor. Akshay Kumar has been hosting the last two seasons of hit reality show Fear Factor Khatron Ka Khiladi, which will be telecasted on Viacom 18's general entertainment channel Colors.

It's a coincidence that Priyanka Chopra is going to take over the responsibilities of her first hero (Priyanka debuted opposite Akshay Kumar), though her first movie didn't do well but Priyanka's carrier boomed to the top afterwards.

The management at the Colors channel have changed the format this year. This year they are calling the show as Fear Factor-IPL Edition to cash in on the popularity of the domestic T-20 tournament. As the name is IPL Edition, therefore this year there will be 13 cricketers from the IPL and to accompany them there will be Priyanka Chopra- Bollywood's one of the most stylish chic.

Priyanka appears to be very happy and excited with her debut on television with such a big reality show. According to piggy chops, (as she is popularly called), "Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi is one of the biggest shows in the Indian television space and it fits my personality too.

" Ashwin Yardi, the Programming Head of Colors is also pumped up with this decision of theirs. "Priyanka's glamour, mass-appeal and athleticism matches the best with the high energy of the cricketers", this was Yardi's remark on their selection of Priyanka as this season's host.
