A quick look at comprehensive delivery specifications of Tesla Cybertruck

After several years of anticipation and speculation, American EV giant Tesla Motors has finally unveiled the production-spec units of its highly awaited all-electric pickup truck, called the Cybertruck. At a recent special event, the Austin, Texas-headquartered manufacturer delivered a few Cybertrucks to pre-order holders, signaling the beginning of the electric truck's journey into the hands of customers. Obviously, the deliveries represent a very small fraction of the more than two million reservation holders who are eagerly awaiting their turn to own one of the most talked-about EVs in recent automotive history.

Fortunately, the official specifications of the Cybertruck have finally surfaced. The impressive features of the electric pickup truck promise to revolutionize the EV market, albeit with some modifications from its initial unveiling.

Tesla is offering the Cybertruck in three distinct versions, viz. Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD), All-Wheel Drive (AWD), and the high-performance Cyberbeast. The power output of the Cybertruck peaks at a remarkable 845 horsepower (hp) in the aptly named "Beast Mode," which boasts acceleration surpassing a Porsche 911 while towing another Porsche 911.

The list of noteworthy features of the pickup truck includes an electro-mechanical differential lock for off-road prowess in the FWD unit, active torque vectoring, and a steer-by-wire system, which replaces the traditional mechanical steering column.

Each variant offers different estimated ranges and acceleration times. To be more specific, the RWD variant offers a range of 250 miles, and 0-60 mph acceleration in 6.5 seconds. The AWD variant offers a range of 340 miles and 0-60 mph acceleration in 4.1 seconds; while the Cyberbeast variant promises 320 miles of range, and 0-60 mph acceleration in merely 2.6 seconds.

The company is also offering an intriguing Range Extender option with additional battery packs that can be added or removed to increase range based on the owner's requirements.

The groundbreaking design features of the EV also include the Powergate front trunk with hidden bench seating, the Vault under-bed storage at the rear, a durable 6x4 bed with a retractable tonneau cover, and advanced features like adaptive air suspension, a unique 48-volt electrical system, and rear-wheel steering.

Pricing structure for the Tesla Cybertruck starts at $60,990 for the base RWD variant, while the AWD variant has been priced at an estimated $79,990, with deliveries of these models set for 2025 and 2026, respectively. The high-performance Cyberbeast model sets the buyers back by $99,990.
