After setting box office afire with Welcome, Namastey London & Race, ace Bollywood hottie Katrina Kaif is ready to star opposite the ‘yummy boy’ Ranbir Kapoor in Prakash Jha’s political thriller ‘Rajniti.’

Katz will play the character of a modern, cultured and clever girl in the movie, which is said to be a modern rendering to the Mahabharat with Indian political affairs forming the backdrop.

Prakash Jha said, “Katrina fit the bill perfectly.”

“She also looks perfectly matched with Ranbir. Not too many top leading ladies are compatible with Kapoor. Katrina is versatile enough to look perfectly matched with Salman, Akshay and now Ranbir,” he added.

The flick also features Bollywood biggies including Ajay Devgan and Manoj Bajpai.

Moreover, Vivek Oberoi was to play a character too but decided to opt out only to be replaced by Arjun Rampal.

Since Jha’s movies are quite persuasive and influential, it will definitely be a fresh experience for both Katz and Ranbir, who have only cut their teeth on the run of mill commercial Hindi cinema until now.

Rajniti is said to be the second film of this hot pair together.

Earlier Ranbir and Katz signed Raj Kumar Santoshi's ‘Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani’, and they have already started shooting for it.
