Bush almost always arrives at his Dallas office by 7:30 a. m., a few minutes before many of his employees. He works on his book with the help of a speechwriter, leaves for a late afternoon bike ride and spends his evenings reading or watching televised golf or baseball.
Neither he nor Laura like to cook, so they have relied on food brought by friends or prepared meals from EatZi''s, a local market.

Scientists identify enzyme that blocks bacteria-induced secondary illnesses
Submitted by Sahil Nagpal on Mon, 09/29/2008 - 14:18.London, September 29: Researchers at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas have identified an enzyme that can prevent secondary illnesses among people hit by bacterial infections.
Research leader Robert Munford points out that the mammalian immune system goes into a "tolerant" state during an infection, and its ability to fight off other invaders decreases.
The state persists even after the bacteria have been killed, he adds.
The researcher says that removing a molecule released by bacteria called lipopolysaccharide (LPS), which initiates tolerance, may help return the immune system to its normal state.
