Mendhar, Apr 27 : One militant was killed in an encounter with security forces in Mendhar in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday morning.
According to sources, the encounter is still on.
The militant, who was killed in retaliatory fire, is yet to be identified. Two other militants escaped from a house in the area, but are still battling security forces.

Addressing a press conference, Army spokesperson Brigadier Gurmeet Singh informed that an abundant accumulation of arms and ammunition has also been recovered.
Srinagar, Apr 24: The Jammu and Kashmir horticulture department has introduced biodegradable bags for farmers in the Kashmir Valley to reduce pollution levels.
The initiative aims at making the orchards and agricultural lands pollution free. The department is distributing these eco- friendly bags among farmers and orchard workers, so that they can realize its benefits and use them more often.
