London, Apr 10: A Saudi man divorced his wife by uttering ‘I divorce you’ thrice through a text message.

According to the Arab News, the man was in Iraq to participate in "what he described as ''jihad'' when he sent the SMS telling his wife that he’s divorcing her, reports The Telegraph.

He confirmed the split by telephoning two of his relatives.

A court in the Red Sea city of Jeddah has finalised the split after summoning the two relatives to check they had received word of the husband''s intention, said the paper.

London, Apr 10: Jack Tweed is reportedly planning to open a high-class restaurant in honour of his late wife Jade Goody.

The restaurant, to be opened in Essex, will serve “international cuisine” and the menu will reflect late Big Brother star’s taste in food.

Tweed, 21, has teamed up with best pal Mark Wright and is in talks with various TV channels to film their progress.

Mark’s cousin Elliott Wright, who has eight restaurants on Spain’s Costa del Sol, has also been roped for help.

London, April 10 : A falconer whose owls starred in Harry Potter films has admitted to a string of animal cruelty offences.

Kenneth Lea, 50, who has now had his birds removed from his care, pleaded guilty to 17 charges relating to the animals between March and June last year.

He admitted the offences regarding 42 birds of prey and 11 chickens he kept at Old Park Farm in Wakefield, West Yorks, reports the Independent.

The nine eagle owls were snapped up by Warner Brothers to star in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

London, April 10: Scientists at the University of Nevada School of Medicine claim that they have gained fresh insights into the reproductive workings of the male sex chromosome, which may have significant implications for male infertility and contraception.

The researchers have found that the X chromosome in developing sperm cells encodes numerous tiny ribonucleic acids called microRNAs despite the fact that that most of genes on the X chromosomes are suppressed.

According to them, this suggests that these small RNAs have critical roles in chromosome inactivation and also in sperm formation.

London, April 10 : Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell is said to be terrified after being targeted by a crazed stalker.

The singer has tightened security at her north London house to protect herself and two-year-old daughter Bluebell from the loner, who hangs around outside at all hours.

Halliwell also had to change her phone number after constant nuisance calls.

"Geri has become increasingly concerned over recent months. This individual has been loitering around her home almost continually and it's really upsetting and scaring her," the Sun quoted a friend, as saying.

"Her burglar alarm has gone off a number of times when she's been out and she's worried about her and Bluebell's safety.
