London, September 17 : A New York woman, who tried to poison her housemate by putting eye drops in his iced tea – a prank from the movie ‘Wedding Crashers’ – was sentenced to three years of probation.
Kristine Anzalone, 25, pleaded guilty to misdemeanour assault and was also ordered to bear all her victim’s medical expenses.
The assault was part of the 2005 comedy where a character played by Owen Wilson, squirts the solution into a love rival''s drink – resulting in a deadly concoction leading to the constriction of blood vessels when ingested.
The victim, Joseph Gentissi, is not satisfied with the verdict.
“It''s not fair”, the Daily Star quoted the victim, as telling the New York post.
London, Sept 17 : He might have made people laugh playing a grumpy dad or a cross-dressing pirate, but veteran actor Al Pacino believes that old pal Robert de Niro rules when it comes to comedy.
Both the actors have enjoyed long careers as the godfathers of gangster films, but Pacino believes that de Niro has an upper hand in comedy.
“Bob did the undoable, he reinvented himself when he did comedy films,” the Daily Express quoted Pacino, as saying.
“There’s an entire audience thinking of him as a comedian after years of playing a tragedian,” he added.
After giving hits like ‘Meet The Parents’ and ‘Stardust’, the 68-year-old actor wants to stick to serious roles.
London, Sept 17 : English singer songwriter Lily Allen has revealed the details of her new album, which she says will release on Feb 9 next year.
The details, released on her Myspace blog, spoke of her excitement at the new album.
“I am so excited, were getting all the artwork and stuff done and coming up with new and interesting ideas,” the Daily Mirror quoted her as having written.
“I hope you’ll all love it as much as I do,” she wrote.
Allen, 23, further stated that she still had some work to be done on the album.

London, Sept 17 : A 20-year-old man, who is just 29 inches tall and weighs just 16lb, has entered the Guinness World Records book for being the world’s shortest man.
He Pingping is the same height as an average one-year-old child, but weight wise a one-year-old child weighs more than him.
Pingping is from Inner Mongolia, and upon being discovered he was taken on a tour to the UK.
The little man comes from a poverty stricken area, and is said to be suffering from a rare disease called primordial dwarfism.
When Pingping was born, he was no bigger than his father’s palm, and had to be fed through a tiny straw because his mouth was so small.
