London, September 12 : Horses at a popular seaside resort in Blackpool, England, are being forced to wear nappies following a new regulation to help clean up the streets.

The regulation was passed in June after complaints about the high levels of smelly and unsightly mess left in the horses'' wake.

Officials at Blackpool Council made it a condition of the operators'' license that all horses should be fitted with the nappies, or dung catchers, which were designed by the RSPCA.

Failing to comply with the new regulation, some operators have been warned that they may lose their licences if they do not mend their ways.

London, Sep 12 : Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe and opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai have agreed to share power after a decade of bitter enmity and a brutal election campaign that saw more than 200 opposition supporters killed.

Announcing the deal, which came after weeks of stop-start negotiations, Thabo Mbeki, the South African President who had been mediating the process, said: “An agreement has been reached on all items on the agenda... all of them endorsed the document tonight.”

London, Sept. 12 : Uncontrolled immigration could lead to increased violence in the streets of Britain, a former Archbishop of Canterbury has warned.

Lord William Carey, who was archbishop between 1991 and 2002, said there was "deep distress" among members of the British public about the large numbers of people moving from other countries to Britain.

He claimed this could turn to anger and even violence if the problems are not addressed, and added that the "unprecedented" scale of people arriving from different faiths and cultures could change what it means to be British.

flatter the figure – is a myth, according to a leading perception
expert who says that wearing horizontal lines can actually make a
person look thinner.

Contrary to popular belief, stripes that
run across the body are more slimming than supposedly flattering
vertical stripes, according to the research by Peter Thompson of the

London, Sept. 12: Britain’s Channel 4 has been accused of being biased towards Islam and not showing enough respect to Christianity.

The Telegraph reports that several Roman Catholic priests have claimed that the channel has been unfair in its treatment of different faiths.

They claimed that the channel recently showed a whole season of broadly positive programmes on Islam while a "Da Vinci Code-style" documentary on Christianity cast doubt on the validity of the Pope.

It also accused the web site of Channel 4 website as treating the history and beliefs of Islam more reverently than it does Christianity.
