New Delhi/Purnia/Patna, Sep 3: Senior BJP leader LK Advani will meet Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh here today to seek a solution to the problem of recurrent floods in Bihar, where around 25 lakh people have been rendered homeless in the worst ever floods in the Kosi region.

Purnia/Patna, August 30 : Fury of floods continues in Bihar forcing the people to shift to safer areas as they complain of lack of relief and rehabilitation.

The people of Madhepura district of the State, where about a million people are caught in the web of floods, complained on Saturday that the government is not providing relief to the victims.

“There has been no relief from the government. There are no medical facilities and the hospital and the police station are left locked,” said Mukesh Kumar, a flood victim.

Purnia, Aug 29 : Flood waters continue to sweep parts of Bihar and with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar describing the calamity as very grim, politicians have been asked to refrain from politicising the matter.

"This is not the time to play politics on the issue. I know this is the year of Central elections. Therefore, people are out to make comments for political reasons," Kumar said.
