The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), youth wing of Communist Party of India (Marxist), has brought out election propaganda posters depicting Nano car and also set up hoardings of the party featuring it in Kolkata.

After receiving complaints from the public regarding the misuse of walls for campaigning, an order was issued by the Election Commission under the Municipal and Panchayat Act 2006.

Under this act, no political party is allowed to write campaigns on the walls of government buildings.

"I was not consulted on the captaincy issue before the final decision was made. I learnt about it from the press," Sourav told a news channel.

Ganguly also added that a team could be expected to do well only if it has a set squad and that cricket was all about giving players confidence and security.

Banerjee appealed to people to vote for her party to defeat the ruling Left government.
