It was just a case of bad timing when we, unknowingly, called TV actors Sachin Verma (who acted in KumKum, Reth, Pyar Ki Kashti Mein, Zoran and Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se) and Gunjan Walia (who acted in Kuch Apne Kuch Paraye, Saat Phere, Ghar Ki Laxmi — Betiyan and Aisa Des Hai Mera) — on March 3, 2009 — exactly one year after they got married! A source has revealed, "Though they had a love marriage a year back, now they are staying separately due to personal differences and monetary issues."

Sachin Verma confirmed the news and said, "Yes, we are staying separately but we are trying to sort things out. We haven't filed for a divorce. Anyway, it's a personal matter." And when we asked him about having issues over money since she belongs to a wealthy family, he said, "Let's not talk about her family. There is so much to write about her family."

To reconfirm on what went wrong in their marital life, we called Gunjan who broke down on the phone informing us that it was their "first wedding anniversary" that day! She said, "I don't want to talk about my personal life." But when we asked her about 'money' playing an important role in their break-up and Sachin's reaction, she said, "What my husband said doesn't make a difference to me. It doesn't matter to me."

At this stage, it might be recalled that the telly couple had a surprise engagement planned by their families just after four months of meeting each other. Not only did Sachin go all out and declare that 'she is the girl' for him, but also took efforts to propose to her by inserting a ring in a cookie and ordering it for her at a restaurant. Needless to say, the lady of course was bowled over by this gesture and they decided to tie the knot. With all the beautiful memories still fresh in their minds, we hope and wish they get back together once again.
