Samsung launches its latest smartphone SGH-i637 Jack in United States Samsung has announced the availability of its latest smartphone – Samsung SGH-i637 Jack – exclusively through AT&T, in the United States. The successor of Black Jack and Black Jack II, the Samsung SGH-i637 Jack looks like Blackberry.

The SGH-i637 Jack features a 3.2 megapixel camera with video recording capability, a full user-friendly QWERTY keyboard, a QVGA display, and A-GPS with AT&T Navigator. It runs Windows Mobile 6.1, but can be upgraded to the next-generation Windows Mobile operating system (6.5) of Microsoft. It offers access to the full Microsoft Office Mobile Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

The SGH-i637 Jack sports Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi, and 256MB of RAM, microSD card. It supports triband HSDPA / quadband EDGE connectivity for high-speed internet access. It comes with 256 MB Flash Memory ROM with microSD External Memory Slot support for a 16GB memory card.

The SGH-i637 Jack boasts of it support for multiple messaging – text messaging, Instant Messaging, picture messaging, video messaging and email. The smartphone comes with a pre-installed Windows Media Player Mobile, which can play multiple formats of audio and video files. It comes equipped with a pre-loaded removable battery offering up to 7 hours of talk time and up to 12 days of standby mode.

The Samsung SGH-i637 Jack will be available through AT&T by this Thursday. The Samsung SGH-i637 Jack will be available for $99.99 (approx. Rs. 4,955) with a two-year contract after rebate.
