Satyam Computer’s merger with Tech Mahindra completedThe process of Satyam Computer services Ltd's merger with Tech Mahindra is finally complete, Tech Mahindra Vice Chairman Vineet Nayyar announced on Tuesday.

Announcing the completion of the amalgamation process, Mr. Nayyar said that the two companies had become one, which would be called Tech Mahindra.

The Tech Mahindra Vice Chairman said, "All the process and procedures required for amalgamation of Satyam with Tech Mahindra are complete. As I speak to you now, we are one company."

While the Andhra Pradesh High Court had approved the merger of Satyam Computer services with Tech Mahindra on June 11 this year, the registrar of companies gave its approval late in the night on Monday, June 24.

Tech Mahindra bought Satyam in an auction in 2009 after its founder Ramalinga Raju confessed to distorting the company's accounts in one of the largest corporate frauds in the country's history.

The merger entity, which will be headquartered in Mumbai, is now the fifth largest Indian information technology (IT) services provider. Mahindra group Chairman Anand Mahindra will be the chairman of Tech Mahindra, while C. P. Gurnani will be its managing director as well as CEO.
