Search On For Absconding Students Involved in Law College Clash Chennai’s new Commissioner of Police has formed 25-special teams for nabbing students involved in the Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College clash. Taking over from R. Sekar, who was shifted after television footage showed policemen watching silently as students received merciless thrashing in a clash between two student groups. 
  
The 1983-batch IPS officer, addressing a press conference talked about convening a student / teacher meeting and said as a preventive measure, all police personnel would undergo a sensitisation programme to educate them on how such situations are to be handled. In short, they would enforce a law to end rowdyism. 
  
Mr. Radhakrishnan comes with considerable experience, which includes stints as Additional Director-General of Police (Civil Supplies CID), Commissioner of Coimbatore, Inspector-General of Police (North Zone) and Joint Director of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption. A.K. Viswanathan taking charge as Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) will hold full additional charge as the Joint Commissioner of Police (North Zone).
