Security matters to dominate India-Pakistan home secretary talks

India warns Pakistan from interfering in its internal mattersAmritsar, Nov 24 : Union Home Secretary Madhukar Gupta looks forward to addressing various security related aspects during the Home Secretary-level talks between India and Pakistan which begin in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Gupta is leading the India delegation at the talks.

Speaking to reporters here on his way to Pakistan, he said New Delhi expects proactive cooperation from Islamabad in dealing with security matters.

He said the issues that are likely to come up for discussion including terrorism, drug trafficking and other issues pertaining to prisoners of both countries lodged in each other''s jails and visa regulations.

"The whole purpose is to try and see that there can be improvement in relations across a wide range of issues and one of the elements of the composite dialogue relates to security matters," he added.

The nuclear-armed rivals'' ''composite dialogue'' covers eight areas including the Kashmir, border disputes, terrorism and economic cooperation. (ANI)
