Sensex ready to achieve another Milestone

Both Sensex and Nifty were performing well. After opening sturdily, the BSE Sensex has maintained its positive outlook.

At 12:13 p.m., the BSE Sensex stood at 17,892, up 563 points from its last closure. The NSE Nifty was quoting at 5246, up 178 points.

Indian stock markets has touched new record peaks today, as capitalists grabbed power and realty shares amid a sharp rise in foreign capital inflows over the last few days.

Indian financial markets remained closed on Tuesday because of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

The trading in the Indian stock market was suspended for about 45 minutes due to sun outage. Earlier, the Sensex opened at 17,467 against the previous close of 17,328.
The NSE Nifty was quoting at 5246, up 178 points or 3.5%.

The sectors, which performed healthily, included realty, oil& gas, power, technology, metal and capital goods.

Within the Sensex, the major gainers’ were Reliance Communication, NTPC, Reliance Energy, Reliance, M&M, ONGC, Infosys, TCS, L&T, Satyam, Tata Motors, ACC, ICICI Bank, SBI, BHEL and HDFC.

Tata Power was the major gainer in the Nifty in company with IPCL and Sterlite. Shares of realty major DLF zoomed after the company pocketed a big order from the Karnataka administration.
