Singapore woman dies after suffering food poisoningSingapore  - A 57-year-old Singapore woman who went into a coma after suffering food poisoning from eating at a local food stall last week died on Monday morning in hospital, reported the Straits Times.

Aminah Samijo suffered acute renal failure when the food poisoning infection entered her kidneys, sending her into a coma. She also had low blood pressure.

Aminah had eaten Rojak, a deep-fried meat and vegetable dish, at a local hawker stall.

She was the worst-hit case. More than 100 people who had sought treatment at six major hospitals after eating at the stall, making it Singapore's biggest food-poisoning breakout since 2007.

Three people have been discharged while 26 others were still hospitalized for food poisoning from eating at the same the stall, according to local media reports. (dpa)
