A sniper might have shot Benazir Bhutto: Scotland Yard

Islamabad, Jan 7: Former premier of Pakistan Benazir BhuttoA sniper might have shot Former premier of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto; this is what the investigating team from Scotland Yards suspects.

“The British team had visited the crime scene and had also examined the surrounding area,” the Daily Times quoted a Pakistani police officer working with the team as saying.

He further added that the team had also examined Benazir’s vehicle and had taken photographs from different angles along with making notes.

The English team also checked the duty rostrum of the police and found that it was the duty of an Assistant Superintendent of Police
(ASP) to escort Benazir. They questioned the ASP why he was not present on the scene.

The team also watched the footage of the incident several times. Besides some other angles, the British team is also working on the assumption that a sniper could have shot Benazir dead. (ANI)
