Star Plus’ Upcoming Show 'Dor' Postponed Till February 2011

Rohini HattangadiUTV has decided to postpone its upcoming show `Dor' for Star Plus because they were not getting the desired prime time slot. Initially, the production house planned it for Prime Time but the channel refused saying that all its Prime Time shows are doing quite well and they cannot afford to remove any one of them.

Star Plus started airing the promos of the show few weeks back but when they were allotted the 1 pm slot, UTV stepped back and they were taken off air. `Dor' is remake of Tamil show `Kolangal', which is very popular in South and made UTV to stick to their decision. The production hosue is very confident about their show and do not want to underestimate it by placing in the afternoon slot.

The show is supposed to star Rohit Khurana of `Uttaran' fame, veteran actress Rohini Hattangadi, Shweta Munshi, veteran Anjan Srivastava and Bharat Chawda.

The channel and the production house had a long talk on the issue and finally it was mutually decided that UTV will wait for few months to launch the show at the Prime Time slot. However, UTV is worried about the fact that whether the actors will stick to the show for such a long gap.

Actress Rohini Hattangadi confirmed the news saying that their show will now come on air in the New Year. Another anonymous actor said that they have got the assurance of getting Prime Time slot after some time.

Well, it seems that the delay has been well accepted keeping in mind the potential of `Dor' so actors should not get impatient and continue shooting for this. We hope Hindi audience also like it as it has been well appreciated by the Tamil fans.
