The new mobile costs Rs 8,995.

Mathur also pointed out that the company in the coming years would launch more gaming handsets. The company already has its Walkman and Cybershot range for the music and imaging segment.

Wednesday saw Sony Ericsson’s President Dick Komiyama announcing that the Android System Being Studied By Sony Ericson company has been studying Google's Android mobile operating system, but was not able to accept it. 

At a media event in the southern Swedish city of Lund, where the company has a research and development site, Komiyama reported, “We are certainly studying this opportunity, although we're not in a position to do this at this moment. We should look at this application. We are certainly interested.”

Sony Ericsson is all set to roll out two new low-priced handsets, named Sony Ericsson Z780‘Z780’ and ‘G502’ in the market.

The phones supporting mobile broadband using HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) will hit the market during the second quarter.

The ‘G502’ will be Sony Ericsson’s inexpensive HSDPA phone up till now. But, the company has not revealed the financial details regarding the phone.

The two new features added to the phone include ‘Shake Control’ and ‘SenseMe’. The new Shake Control system permits users to adjust music tracks by waving the phone in the air. Additionally, the phone also has with an auto-rotating display for the media section.

On the other hand, the SenseMe aspect lets users to arrange their music path according to their mood rather than record album or artists.
