Trump planning to enter India’s hospitality sector
Donald Trump-led, Trump Organisation is planning to enter the hospitality sector in India as the company attaches great importance to the country among the major emerging economies.
The global developer of branded luxury properties is already coming out with a residential project in Mumbai. The work on the country’s first residential development with the Trump brand is yet to begin.
Donald Trump Jr, executive vice-president of the company expressed satisfaction that his plans to have a presence in the Indian market are finally getting shaped. The company is expected to enter into agreements in both luxury residences as well as hotels segments.
“India is a very important market and we have made good progress in terms of active discussions with a host of companies. Talks are in fairly advanced stages but nothing has been finalised yet. We are hoping to close a few deals,’’ he said
The company is planning to have presence in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Goa. Trump Jr said that the main focus for the company is to identify partners and get into partnerships in order to share projects in the country.
