Ancient Fish FossilsNew Delhi, Jan 18: Fossils of two ancient fish have been found in Pengxi county, Sichuan province.

The remains were uncovered in a quarry.

Archaeologists said that they could have been formed some 150 million years ago, during the Mesozoic Jurassic period, when the dinosaurs lived.

The fossils are complete, measuring 14 cm long and 4.5 cm wide, reports China Daily.

The remains include clearly visible fish scales and bones and chest, dorsal and tail fins.

The finding is expected to be of importance for the region's geology and ancient biology. (ANI)
