Unidentified vandals attack Indiabulls office building in Mumbai
A group of nearly fifteen unidentified men attacked the Indiabulls Finance Centre on Elphinstone Road in central Mumbai on Sunday night and vandalized its property.
Armed with stones and rods, the mob stormed the security cabin of the building at around 8.45 pm, and broke the structure's glass facade and windows.
Security personnel at the building could not ascertain the identity of the assailants. The reason behind the act of vandalism is also yet to be determined.
When the police reached the spot, broken glass was scattered all around the entrance hall of the building.
A police official said that investigation was under way, and attempts were being made to ascertain the identity of the attackers.
When contacted, the official said, "There were broken glass pieces lying all around the place. The security guards have been unable to tell us who the people were; however, the CCTV footage will reveal the identity."
A case of rioting and damage to private property has been registered against unidentified people.
The Indiabulls Finance Centre houses some of the leading financial institutions, such as Yes Bank and Deloitte.
