Vodafone ties up with Zain to expand presence in Middle EastUK-based global telecom giant, Vodafone has entered into a partnership with telecom operator, Zain, under which the two companies will be able to expand their presence in the countries in the Middle East region.

Vodafone is looking to expand its services in the region to meet the growing demand from multinational businesses for improved connectivity. The partnership will allow both the companies to offer improved roaming services across the region.

Vodafone will partner with Zain's units in various countries including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan and Iraq. The partnership will complement Vodafone's existing networks in Egypt and Qatar. Vodafone now has partner market agreements in more than 50 countries following the deal with Zain.

Vodafone said that the customers subscribed to Vodafone Global Enterprise will now be able to travel to Zain serviced nations and continue to enjoy the international managed services on existing contracts. The subscribers of Zain will also be able to benefit from the Vodafone's network.

Ravinder Takkar, CEO, Vodafone Partner Markets said, "By combining the geographical reach of our companies' respective networks, we can strengthen and deepen the benefits to our customers operating in these large and dynamic markets."
