Director turned actor Farhan Akhtar has said that that transition from direction to acting wasn't easy. However, the type of films he chooses, such as 'Karthik Calling Karthik' helped him in the process.

"I worked with a new bunch of talent, they have new ideas and are also very clear in their approach of what they want to do, and that has also helped me a lot," he said.

Farhan plays an introvert character in the film and the lead actress is Deepika Padukone. The movie also features Shefali Shah. There is lot of speculation about if the actor has a double roll in the film. The actor did not disclose any part of his role and asked the audience to wait for the release.

Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy has given the music for the film which is due for release on 26th Feb.
