Ace actor-director Kamal Haasan has announced that his upcoming flick ‘Marmayogi’ will be produced under his banner in association with Pyramid Saimira.

Kamal Haasan said, “We have signed an agreement with Pyramid Saimira and any news to the contrary is a slur on our bonafide partnership. Media reports contrary to this business deal struck between Raj Kamal Films International and Pyramid Saimira Group are inaccurate and immature.”

According to the media reports, Kamal Haasan had moved out of the contract with Pyramid Saimira and had teamed up Rajnikanth’s daughter Soundarya Rajnikant.

Mr. P. S. Swaminathan, chairman of Pyramid Saimira, stated, “The film is a trilingual film to be produced in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, and plans are afoot to make the film in English language also.”

Based on Marie Corelli's 1886 novel ‘Vendetta: The Story of One Forgotten’, Marmayogi is the most high-priced Indian movie to date that would cost around Rs 1.25 billion.

Mr. Swaminathan also commented that a big project cannot be made without assessing its business prospects and viability study.

He added, “No company, which is taking up such huge project can move forward with misplaced assumptions.”
