Ishmeet’s death is an unrepairable loss for his family members, friends, fans and all others.

Reality show contestant Himani Kapoor, who is still in a state of deep shock on learning about her friend Ishmeet’s death in the Maldives, said, “I can still hear him call out 'Oy Himaneeee' from across the room.”

“He was such a gem of a person. Why should he be taken away so rudely? I’m leaving for Ishmeet's hometown Ludhiana. I want to see him for the last time. I still can't believe he's gone,” she said.

Ishmeet, 19-year-old potential singer, had gone to Maldives to take part in a music concert. On Tuesday, he died due to drowning in a swimming pool of the resort where he was staying.

Himani accompanied the entire Voice Of India group to Ludhiana for the funeral on Thursday at 4 p.m.

“All of us from Voice of India, Toshi Sabri, Irfan Ali, Aishwarya plus two members of Endemol, the company that produces the show, will be going to Ludhiana and of course, Gajendra Singh (the programme's producer and director),” she said.

Till late on Wednesday evening Gajendra Singh was not capable of accepting this shocking news.

"How could this happen?" he kept repeating.
