Toronto: Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi-starrer 'Tigers', which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) recently, will hit theatres in India in January 2015.

The film, directed by the Oscar-winning Bosnian filmmaker Danis Tanovic, is based on the true story of a salesman, Syed Aamir Raza, with a multinational pharmaceutical firm in Pakistan.

'Tigers', which seeks to relay a broader message about the benefits of breastfeeding, delivers a harsh judgement on the practises of MNCs in developing countries like Pakistan.

Tanovic said that the film is likely to be released in India in January next year.

Baghdad: Iraqi officials close to the country's new Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi say he has renounced his British citizenship since officially assuming office last week.

The three government officials close to al-Abadi, who declined to be named because they are not authorized to discuss the matter, said he surrendered his British passport after his government was officially approved by parliament on September 8.

Iraq's constitution stipulates that an Iraqi citizen may hold multiple passports. However, anyone who assumes a senior security or government position must abandon any other acquired citizenship.

London: With sister-in-law Kate Middleton suffering from severe morning sickness, Prince Harry has called off his 30th birthday bash.

Harry, who turns 30 tomorrow, had invited close friends to a mini banquet last night at Kate and Prince William's newly refurbished apartment in Kensington Palace.

Last week, he contacted his guests and announced he felt it was "inappropriate" to carry on with the party in light of Kate's illness, The Mirror reported.

"Harry was in no doubt that the party should be postponed, even though 30 is an important milestone," a source was quoted as saying.

Los Angeles: Singer Ellie Goulding says she is very happy to learn that Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, is expecting her second child and has already sent her well-wishes to the royal couple.

Prince Williams and Kate, who are already parents to a year-old baby named George, announced on September 8 that they are set to welcome their second child.

Goulding, 27, who is a friend of Prince Williams' brother Harry and also performed at the wedding reception of Williams and Kate in 2011, said she is sure the couple will be great parents, reported a magazine.

London, Sept 14 : US Secretary of State John Kerry has announced that Egypt has a key role to play in countering Islamic State (IS) militants in Iraq and Syria.

Kerry, who is on trip to the Middle East to enlist broader support for a coalition to fight the Islamist threat from the IS, has received backing of atleast 10 Arab states so far including Egypt. However, the US Secretary of State has ruled out Iran joining the international coalition, the BBC reported.

Acknowledging Egypt's reputation as "an intellectual and cultural capital of the Muslim world, Kerry stated that Cairo had a "critical role to play in publicly renouncing the ideology that IS disseminates".
