New York, Sept 19: A Canadian celebrity chef has given a insight into the diva act that celebs like Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado put up when they visited the Rain restaurant in Toronto, Canada recently.

Chef Guy Rubino revealed that after reserving a table for 10, Furtado showed up late and brought in five extra people.

Rubino also claimed that the singer objected to the pre-fixe type menu and was rude to him.

He added that her manager ordered them to prepare individual dishes.

Now, Vanessa Hudgens’ ex lawyer takes her to court

Washington, Sept 19: It seems that the ‘High School Musical’ star Vanessa Hudgens, just can’t stay away from scandals. And this time she goes the legal way.

Hudgens’ former lawyer, Brian L. Schall has sued her for breach of contract, as she didn’t pay him a 15,000-dollar bill.

Schall’s complaint has been filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court, reported E! Online.

He claimed that he helped Hudgens negotiate all the songwriting and recording deals, which helped her earn more than 5 million dollars.

UK offers eight-million-dollar aid for Nepal peace process

Kathmandu, Sept 19 : The United Kingdom has pledged an aid of eight million dollars for the peace process in Nepal.

Visiting British International Development Minister Shahid Malik offered the aid to Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala today.

During his meeting with Koirala at Baluwatar, Malik described the Maoist decision to quit government as unfortunate, and stressed the need for political consensus.

Koirala’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Dr Suresh Chalise told this to reporters after the meeting.

Centre is under US pressure on nuclear deal: Left parties

New Delhi, Sept 19 : The Left parties on Wednesday alleged that the United States was pressurising India to go ahead with the bilateral civilian nuclear cooperation deal.

“I feel it is they (the US), who are laying down the timetable for the government, it seems to us. They are pressurising; you know it very well," said CPI leader A B Bardhan.

The Left parties also rejected the government’s response to the concerns expressed by them over the nuclear deal, saying they were not convinced with the Centre’s contention on the issue.
