Hotel Leela Plans Expansion, Eyes 4500 Mn Jump In Fy 08’ Net Earnings

Leading hospitality company Hotel Leela Venture is all set to invest around Rs 22 billion in the next three years (2010) to set up five new hotels and a service apartment in Gurgaon near Delhi.

The new hotels will be established in Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi and Udaipur.

The company has already expended Rs 11 billion on 86 service apartments that it is projecting to built up in Gurgaon.

Millions in UK 'imagine' food intolerance

London, September 19 (ANI): A new poll has shown that millions of people in the UK have self-diagnosed a food intolerance, and may be avoiding key foods as a result.

The study conducted by a testing firm called Yorktest has revealed that less than a quarter of 12 million of the people, who claim to be food intolerant, have had their condition formally diagnosed.

While many of the nine million people also claiming to be intolerant may well be so, the study suggests that they may just be fussy.

WNV Cases Surging Slowly!

The number of West Nile Virus cases has been climbing up another time, but the rate of increase is slow. This indicates aerial spraying last month had the desired result killing a big part of the disease carrying mosquitoes.

Presently, there are 115 people in Kern County with the disease. That’s up from 107 a week ago. But an increase of eight cases is low as against six or seven weeks ago, when the number augmented by 30% each week.

Washington, Sept 19 : Brad Pitt and ladylove Angelina Jolie have already had a special 9-foot-wide bed made for all those times when their kids jump into bed with them for a cuddle. However, they might soon need a bigger one.

Pitt, who admitted that he and Jolie were ready to add another child to their family, revealed that the couple’s 9-foot-wide bed was just enough to hold him, Jolie and their kids.

However, one more child would mean that they would need a 11-foot-wide bed.

Case of boy ripping 1p bag costs UK taxpayers £1,000!

London, Sep 19 : A criminal damage worth just 1pence has cost the UK government 1,000 pounds.

The Crown Prosecution Service charged a 15-year-old boy after he owned up to ripping the handles off a plastic bag, worth 1p, belonging to a 13-year-old girl.

Following the charge, prosecutors are being accused of wasting taxpayers’ cash.

The girl's parents called police who passed a file to the CPS, and the case is believed to have cost 1,000 pounds.
